Boeing Business Jet
Boeing business jets are essentially Boeing airliners that are converted for private and corporate customers. Once converted these jets usually seat between 25 to 50 people instead of the hundreds that are crammed together in their normal configuration. The interiors are luxurious and immaculate and commonly include full bedrooms and bathrooms that you’d be proud to have in your home.
The Boeing BBJ started as a 737 airframe which was modified for use as a private jet. BBJ’s are now available in 737, 747, 767, 777 and 787 airframes. Besides the luxurious interior changes and configuration the other changes made to the aircraft are:
Addition of blended winglets for slightly better fuel economy
Self contained airstairs for access to the aircraft at airports with limited ground support.
Additional fuel tanks for longer range
ETOPS-180 certification
The cruising speed, max range, cabin dimensions and baggage space are all variable along the BBJ line depending on the configuration. These stats are general for a 737 line of BBJ.
